Description: A Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) offers a systemic process for districts to use as they continually strive to meet the needs of all students and meet the intent of No Child Left Behind legislation. The three-tiered system focuses on early reading intervention. Description: Guided reading is not just for students who are learning to read. Using flexible grouping at all levels can help students of all ages to improve their reading skills. This workshop will discuss the basics of guided reading, strategies that can be taught in guided reading groups, literature circles, and literacy centers. You will participate in hands-on exercises that guide you through uses of the SmartBoard to enhance instruction and presentations.
