Wolf River Key Accomplishments

  • Established a consortium through the Master Teacher providing online training and assessments for paraprofessionals needed to meet requirements of No Child Left Behind
  • Provided scholarships for Wolf River Leadership Academy participants through High Quality Teacher Consortium (Title III).
  • 52% of IDL Science Enrichment programs were delivered to Wolf River districts (115 programs out of 220 total programs)

 

  • 2,356 kids from Wolf River districts were served via IDL Science Enrichment which is 49% of the total Greenbush kids served (4,660 kids total were served in 2003 -2004).
  • 30 kids attended Four Wolf River summer camps in 2004, including Amazing Dinosaurs, Incredible Insects, Wild Wacky Weather, and Window Box Garden.
  • Learning Resources served 350 teachers with training, videos, and instructional needs.
  • 4,954 titles were checked out to Wolf River schools on "regular" check out and distributed through established van routes.
  • 4,647 titles were housed in Wolf River districts on permanent loan.
  • Established 10 IDL classrooms in Wolf River schools and funded the classroom equipment cost with a STAR school grant.
  • Provided 22 high school and college classes to 520 students attending Wolf River schools.
  • Greenbush is funding a 5-day McRel Effective School Improvement Strategies Training program in Wolf River, including costs of $14,750 and a $400 stipend for each participant attending the series.
  • Provided training for 154 school custodial and maintenance staff in OSHA and EPA required subjects at Wolf River and on-site.
  • Provided consultation services to 4 Wolf River schools concerning Indoor Air Quality problems, including 2 air quality tests.
  • Completed 3 playground safety audits for Wolf River schools.
  • 22 Wolf River schools are eligible for grants encouraging innovative school improvement initiatives totaling $109,580 form the Learning Tree Institute-Greenbush.
  • 8 Wolf River schools utilized the GACK scoring serves as a performance assessment used in their school improvement process.
  • More than 10 meetings and training programs addressing the eQPA, PDP Toolbox, and Online Needs Assessment were held at the Wolf River Center.
  • 8 Wolf River districts, which are members of the Greenbush Title II Consortium, are eligible for a grant program placing either the Academy of Reading or Academy of Math Program in each elementary, middle and high school.
  • 1,143 teachers from 14 Wolf River school districts used PDP Toolbox for tracking and recording professional development activity.
  • Six Principal Leadership Series meetings providing networking and training to 28 principals of Wolf River districts.
  • Conducted 5 EPA required AHERA 3-year asbestos inspections for Wolf River schools.
  • 18 Wolf River member school districts participated in the Crisis Intervention project.
  • In 2003-2004, 24 Wolf River school representatives received 10 hours of Baseline Crisis training.
  • 21 Wolf River member districts received an average cost savings of $2,184 on ITBS scoring services.
