August 18, 2005
The Wolf River Center was established in 1999 to promoted and facilitate collaboration between Northeast Kansas school districts. The leadership provided by the original staff including Von Lauer, Jim Weis, and Myrna Weis established the foundation for a not-for-profit organization that has grown to provide 27 school districts with services ranging from center-based training, an academy for aspiring school leaders, administrator forums, and the development and administration of Carl Perkins Consortia.
